More info

Henry Jones' Grail Diary is one of the most important and iconic objects ever appearing in a movie production. The book features heavily in the third installment of the Indiana Jones series, “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (two pics below).” The diary tells the story of the adventures, discoveries and dangers Henry Jones Sr. faces during all his quest to discover the Holy Grail; the cup used by Jesus Christ during the last supper.

This replica is an exact reproduction of the hero prop used in the film, including the (fake) signature of Adolf Hitler, that Indiana Jones receives begrudgingly in the famous scene at Berlin. It contains 282 pages, in the exact order and ream configuration as the original.

The diary has a Genuine Leather Cover that has been created and attached with excellent workmanship.
It has undergone numerous steps to appear aged as in the film.

  • About 282 pages, exactly like original prop.
  • Contains all 63 pages of drawings and writing found in the hero prop.
  • Each page contains high levels of detail and care.
  • High quality paper (104gsm).
  • Each page has undergone 5 separate steps of ageing.
  • Contains many REPLACEs (letters, maps and even the wrapping with postage. stamps of Venice of the period and stamps of Venice city council).
  • Genuine Leather Cover, aged with several process.

Important: this is the DeLuxe version, the diffrence being that the printing technique is screen printing. Also, there is no invented text added. The diary reflects the excat order and ream configuration as the original.

Note : Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is a 1984 American adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg. It is the second (chronologically the first) film in the Indiana Jones franchise and prequel to Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981). After arriving in India, Indiana Jones is asked by a desperate village to find a mystical stone. He agrees, stumbling upon a Kali Thuggee religious cult practicing child slavery, black magic and ritual human sacrifice.

Producer and co-writer George Lucas decided to make the film a prequel as he did not want the Nazis to be the villains again. The original idea was to set the film in China, with a hidden valley inhabited by dinosaurs. Other rejected plot devices included the Monkey King and a haunted castle in Scotland. Lucas then wrote a film treatment that resembled the final storyline of the film. Lawrence Kasdan, Lucas' collaborator on Raiders of the Lost Ark, turned down the offer to write the script, and Willard Huyckand Gloria Katz were hired as his replacement.

Overall condition: the diary is mint but it looks old, like the movie diary!
